Don't you love it when your watching tv and someone has the same outfit as you or maybe the same cell phone. Admit it, it makes your feel cool, like you really do have good taste.

Thats what happen to me when I was watching Burn Notice last week. I know it's really dorky but I have the same artificial plant in my den. I was so excited when I saw it because I personally decorated my families tv area. So its official I have as much of decorating skills as the set designer for Burn Notice.

So I had a little mini break, in which I spent most of my time searching all through Youtube looking for the last Doctor Who episodes featuring David Tennant. If your a Doctor Who fan than you understand my determination and my new found sadness about finding and watching those last episodes. It won't be the same without David Tennant, but I will give the new shows and doctor a chance.(maybe, the littlest things bother me and the new doctor's voice is a little deep and raspy,that's all I'm saying). I'm going to end this post before I get to dorky and then realize I need to get a life but .....

So If you are brave enough today you probably got up at the break of dawn for some great deals. Here is my personal advice to make your long shopping day go better.

How to be a better shopper by D.Alexis

1. Expect long lines- don't get bent over because you are fourth in line, stay positive. Start up a conversation with the person next to you, make a friend and before you know it your out of line.

2. Read Carefully- Read all signs and coupons throughly especially the fine print so you know what deals you are getting.

3.Don't be a baby be a man- I know the employees are there to help customers but they are extremely busy and overwelmed not trying to ignore you personally. Again stay positive, wait, and ask nicely and someone will help you.

4. Be prepared- Look over the stores ad and make a list so you know exactly what you want to buy and shopping will go faster. Have your form of payment ready to go when you check out. Don't be one of those people who write out the check after everything is ranged up or try to find the 3 pennies at the bottom of your purse. Be prepared people!

5.Don't go alone- bring someone with you to share some shopping time. I think one or two people should be enough not your entire family including your dog.

6. Read Above- If you can not follow these rules, stay at home! and shop online!

I havent posted in a while but I had a foot injury so I have been resting up. I feel alot better so It's time to get back to work. I slightly redesigned by beloved dino scarf, heres the final result. He's a little thinner because of diet and exercise and he's sporting some felt on his tail and head instead of ric rac. I think the new dino scarf is a lot more cuddly.

Another show I watch is Deserving Design, where Vern Yip finds people that have helped their community in some way and thanks them by providing a makeover for a room in their house. "Thats Cute" a phrase I use when I want something I see either on TV,in a magazine or a stranger walking by. The first Thats Cute item is an art piece I saw on a wall during the season finale of the show Royal Pains on USA network. You can take a look at a clip of my find down below. Or you can just watch the whole show @ Hulu because its pretty good. I'm not sure if the art piece is just a whole lot of plates situated on a wall or just one piece, but it's pretty.

I was never into fashion until I saw the work of Mr. Alexander Mcqueen. Theres a show called Fashion File which comes on the Canadian Channel and it showed I believe was 2005 autumn collection of Alexander Mcqueen. I just immediately fell in love with his designs. I never knew that fashion could be like that. Now I'm not itty bitty and can not fit into anything I see nor do I have the funds, but I am completely content to just observing this man's great works of art. @ 1 in the morning I was reminded of one of my favorite shows on HGTV Color Splash hosted by the brilliant David Bromstad. HGTV needs to show this show more often I mean Househunters comes on like every 5 mins(and I watch it even though I'm not looking for a house,its ridiculous). This show is great it airs on Saturdays @ 9 P.M Eastern, David Bromstad is very talented, and he has a great team which includes a color specialist who takes painting walls to another level. It makes me want a color specialist even though I have no walls to paint but it would be nice to have one just in case. Heres a link to a clip of the show:
